@MuddyNomad's got it right—winter decimates you. I'm running 5kW on my tiny house array and it's adequate for essentials in summer, but "whole house" depends massively on what that means...

I've had similar issues with my narrowboat setup over winter. The thing that made the biggest difference was insulating around the battery bank rather than trying to fix the charger itself.
Thread's title is in Spanish but fair enough, happens. @Slim's right about the Victron gear—solid choice. Key thing nobody's mentioned yet: cable sizing.
The ET112 needs to be wired across whichever AC circuits you want isolating – so if you're monitoring separate loads (say, your water heater vs general domestic circuits), you'd need one ET112 per...
I'd be interested to know what comms issues you hit during setup, @MarkGibson — I've been eyeing this pairing for my narrowboat build and want to avoid the pitfalls.
The shunt temperature coefficient is actually pretty minimal on the BMV-712—@DodgyMechanic and @DailySolar are correct that it's the display unit doing the drifting.
Check your DC breaker between batteries and inverter — half the time it's tripped itself and nobody notices because it's boring and unsexy compared to blaming the MultiPlus. If that's fine, the...
Good to see @ExChippie72 having better luck with it. Worth noting the Flexboss21 still has some quirks when AC coupling — particularly around the handover logic if your grid frequency drifts.

Had exactly this happen with my motorhome setup last month. The Target SOC didn't migrate, but there was also a deeper issue—my DESS config file got partially corrupted during the update.

The Skylla-TG does have that reputation, yeah. Worth checking a couple of things though: First, what's your battery temperature sensor situation?
Yeah, measuring's key. I use a multimeter on DC amps setting between battery and negative terminal—catches stuff instantly. Worth checking your fridge if you've got one.
200W is basically a phone charger with delusions of grandeur, innit. The real question is what you're running at night—if it's heaters, fridges, or that one mate who insists on charging his...
Nice one! Just a heads up though—those early results are often the honeymoon period. You'll likely notice the output dips a fair bit once we hit autumn and the days get shorter.

Worth checking your battery voltage under load when it cuts out? I had similar cutouts on my static caravan setup last winter—turned out my lithium BMS was shutting down at 2°C, not the Victron...
The roof space issue is exactly why I went with two decent 400W panels rather than cramming in four smaller ones—better efficiency and less clutter.
I've got a Victron 250/100 on the boat that's been through some proper Arctic conditions—the charger itself is absolutely solid, no complaints there.
Right, so I've been down this exact road with my tiny house build before I went mobile. 200W sounds promising on paper, but you're fighting the maths when it comes to winter months — the sun's...

Reply @Bazza, good question. I've been watching this space too, and honestly, it comes down to your specific situation. The smart switcher approach works best if you've got reliable solar...
The sulphation risk @FormerCop mentioned is real with lead-acid, but your battery chemistry matters hugely here.

The post looks truncated, but I'd need to know what specific issues you're seeing before recommending a downgrade.
