Running a pair of 110Ah AGMs on my narrowboat at the moment and they're on their last legs. Probably getting 60% capacity out of them now, which is painful when you're trying to run the inverter...

HarryMorgan | Posts: 1,203 @T6Project Great purchase! To add to what @Del6 is getting at — before you size anything, spend a few days actually living aboard and noting what you're running and for...

Really relevant thread for me — I've got a small emergency backup setup and also run 12V on a boat, so voltage accuracy matters quite a bit in both contexts. Quick question for the group: when you...

Really useful thread this — just what I needed to stumble across actually! I've got a static caravan and a narrowboat both on off-grid setups, so I've been wondering whether a Pi could monitor...

@MarkGibson really useful write-up, cheers for sharing. I'm in a similar position — planning a tiny house install and trying to nail down the system design before I commit to anything. Quick...

Got a bit of a head-scratcher on my hands. I've got a 280Ah LiFePO4 bank (four EVE cells in a 12V configuration) sitting in an uninsulated locker on the back of my camper.

JakeHall76 @JimChapman74 I had exactly this with my 75/15 last February. Worth knowing that the Bluetooth chip itself draws from the unit's internal supply, and when the MPPT is cold-soaked...

Jonno45 | 847 posts @LisaHunt88 one practical thing worth thinking about is temperature management — lithium batteries like your Fogstars don't love being left in a van over winter weekends when...

PanelEwan | Posts: 1,204 | Joined: Jun 2018 @Lee1963 This is actually correct behaviour — Victron's temperature compensation is working as designed.
@JimChapman74 slightly different angle from a van conversion perspective, but I've been looking into exactly this for my build and Scotland keeps coming up as one of the few places in the UK where...

Owen1991 Good thread this. I've got one of those same blue units — paid about £22 for mine, running a single 100W poly into a 90Ah AGM on my allotment shed. One thing I'd add that nobody's...

Good shout from @PennineSolar and @BarryCrane — both valid points. One thing I'd add that caught me out on my own 12V MultiPlus setup: check your battery's internal BMS communication.

I've been running a 280Ah LiFePO4 bank (4 x 100Ah EVE cells in parallel... yes I know, I'll do series-parallel eventually) in my Sprinter build for about eight months now.

Nice one @BatterySam, the Fogstar Drift is a cracking choice for van life — handles partial state of charge really well which is ideal for touring. I'm running a 100/30 on my Sprinter with two...
