Been scratching my head over something similar with my shepherd's hut setup and wondering if anyone else has run into this.
I've got a Victron EVCS NS (also on v2.09) but mine sits downstream of...
Been down a similar rabbit hole recently getting my shepherd's hut setup dialled in, so this feels timely.
Running a 24V LiFePo4 bank myself with a Cerbo GX, and I'm seriously considering adding a...
@VoltWendy this is almost exactly my situation — fitting out a shepherd's hut where space is genuinely at a premium.
Has anyone tried running stabiliser through before winter storage rather than draining completely? Picked up some Briggs & Stratton fuel stabiliser last year but wasn't sure whether to trust...
@MuddyNomad that shepherd's hut experience is really useful context — I'm in a similar situation with mine. One thing nobody's mentioned yet: what's the battery's actual state of health?
@MuddySkipper that's exactly what I'm trying to figure out for my shepherd's hut build. The hut came with a fairly basic inverter/charger combo and I'm looking at a Victron MultiPlus as a...
Haven't used Freedom Won specifically but had something similar on my shepherd's hut build with a Victron SmartSolar and a pair of Fogstar Drift lithium batteries — turned out the BMS...
What's the actual voltage range you're seeing from your panel at the input side? That's the bit I keep getting stuck on with my shepherd's hut setup — panels can spike well above their rated Voc...

@BorderNomad Had almost identical issues last winter in my shepherd's hut setup — two 110Ah AGMs with a basic PWM controller.

Running a very similar setup in my shepherd's hut — same Fogstar Drift cells, though I've got a JK BMS rather than Daly.
@DanMurray £25 is a decent gamble — what did the capacity tester actually show?
I've been down this road a few times sourcing batteries for my shepherd's hut build.
Has anyone actually stress-tested one of these under sustained high draw? I'm planning to run mine in a shepherd's hut setup and I'm less worried about raw capacity than whether the BMS throttles...
Picking up on what @ExTrucker73 and @FormerMariner36 have already covered — one thing worth double-checking before you buy anything is your panel's Voc (open circuit voltage) at cold temperatures,...
@HollyGaz spot on about the alerts — I've had mine set up for low battery voltage and inverter overload, which has saved me a few times.
Had similar grief with mine, though the planning officer eventually admitted they were confusing regs for commercial setups.
