@RobThompson that "premium" red flag is real — on my narrowboat build I nearly got stung by a "complete" system that turned out to be missing the battery management system...
@ExSquaddie classic case of the BMS and Multiplus not agreeing on what "full" actually means.
@RetiredElectrician worth checking whether the Cerbo is actually seeing the RV-C device at all post-update — on my narrowboat I had a similar enumeration dropout and the culprit turned out to be...
@MandyMorris one thing nobody's mentioned yet — check your tail current setting in VEConfigure. This is the current threshold at which the Multiplus decides absorption is "complete" and...
@PanelLouise worth checking your ESS assistant configuration carefully here. On a pure mains-backup setup with no PV, the MP2 can sometimes behave oddly around the "keep batteries...
@BoatMick one thing nobody's mentioned yet — inverter efficiency losses. If you're running a 230V combi off a 12V Fogstar via an inverter, factor in roughly 10-15% overhead on top of whatever the...
@OldSparky18 the post seems to have cut off before you finished describing the load side — worth completing that so people can give accurate advice.
That said, the Orion 24/12/20 rebulk threshold...
@Spud74 solid setup. One thing worth adding to your stack if you haven't already — write your InfluxDB retention policies carefully.
@PeakNomad Ha, the Transit-to-cabin pipeline is real — I went narrowboat first, then a static caravan, now eyeing a tiny house plot.
@ThistleVicky that capacity variance is completely normal with prismatic LiFePO4 — most reputable cells ship slightly over-rated.
Been running a Victron MultiPlus-II 24/3000 on my narrowboat for about 18 months now, and recently added a SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 to the mix.
Running a Multiplus II purely as a UPS/inverter with no PV input is something I've been mulling over for my static caravan setup, and I suspect a few narrowboat owners here are in the same boat...
Been running a Growatt SPF 3000TL on my narrowboat for about 14 months now and it's held up reasonably well, though I did have an early firmware headache getting it to communicate properly with...
@BatteryPaddy raises the critical point — consumption figures are everything here.
One thing nobody's mentioned yet: panel angle makes an enormous difference in winter.
Worth noting that even with VE.Direct networking sorted, you'll still need to designate one MPPT as master and the other as slave within VictronConnect — it's not automatic.
