Running three Victron MultiRS Solars in 3-phase on a boat is still firmly on my "one day when I win the lottery" list, but seeing setups like this does make me wonder if anyone in the UK has gone full 3-phase off-grid rather than just stacking single-phase Multis.
My current setup is embarrassingly modest by comparison — a couple of Victron Multiplus-IIs and some Fogstar Drift cells keeping the lights on aboard — but I've been eyeing up the MultiRS Solar units since they fold the MPPT in with the inverter-charger, which on a boat means fewer boxes bolted to the bulkhead.
The bit that's got me thinking though is the Phaeton driver integration for EV charging — essentially using ESS to dynamically limit the charger based on grid availability and battery state. Anyone in the UK running something similar with an Indra or Ohme charger talking to a Cerbo GX via MQTT or the Modbus TCP route?
Also — those Voltsmile batteries aren't something I've seen crop up much over here. We seem to default to Pylontech, EG4, or Fogstar for rack-mount lithium. Are they actually any good or is this a "only available on the continent" situation?
Genuinely curious whether 3-phase makes sense for anyone off-grid in the UK who isn't running industrial kit.
