Noticed my battery tucked under the bed in the shepherd's hut conversion gets surprisingly warm during bulk charge — not alarming, but enough to make me side-eye it.
Running a Victron SmartSolar 100/20 into the Fogstar 100Ah, and even with the hut door cracked open it's hitting around 35–40°C on the casing. Ambient's maybe 18°C so it's not a scorching day.
Wondering if I should throttle back the charge current or just make sure there's more airflow around it — anyone actually fitted a small 12v fan to circulate air near their battery, or am I overthinking this for a hut that barely moves?
