Running a Victron SmartSolar 100/30 in the van, paired via Bluetooth to my Samsung A54 using the VictorConnect app. For the past few weeks it's been dropping the connection every few minutes — sometimes won't even find the device on the initial scan. The MPPT itself is working fine (LEDs normal, charging the Fogstar 100Ah LiFePO4 as expected), it's purely the BT comms that's gone flaky.
Already tried the usual: cleared app cache, reinstalled VictorConnect, toggled Bluetooth off/on, even did a factory reset on the MPPT via the app before the dropouts got too bad to stay connected long enough. Running app version 6.1 on Android 14. Noticed this started roughly around the time my phone took an Android update, so wondering if there's a permissions thing going on — Android 14 tightened up location/nearby-devices permissions and I wonder if that's the culprit.
Curious whether anyone else has hit this specifically on Android 14, or whether it's a known firmware issue on the 100/30. I've seen a few vague threads on the Victron community forum but nothing definitive. Is there a specific VE.Direct to USB cable workaround people are using as a backup, or is there a newer MPPT firmware that addresses this? Running firmware v1.61 on the controller currently.
