Been playing around with the VRM portal a lot more lately after my Cerbo GX updated itself overnight a few weeks back. I'll be honest, I was a bit sceptical at first — I've had the system running for about 18 months now (2x 200Ah lithium, 600W of solar on the roof, Multiplus-II 3kVA) and I'd basically just been ignoring the portal beyond the odd glance at state of charge.
What's changed my mind is the historical data stuff. I can now go back and see exactly when my batteries were hitting absorption vs float, cross-reference it with grid input, and I actually spotted that my generator was kicking in about 45 minutes earlier than it needed to during a cloudy spell in January. Tweaked the trigger threshold from 20% SoC down to 15% and it's already saved me a fair bit of diesel over the past month.
Curious whether anyone else has dug into the VRM analytics properly — particularly the "advanced" tab with the custom widgets. I've set up a dashboard showing solar yield vs consumption as a daily bar chart and it's genuinely made me think differently about when I run the kettle and washing machine. Are there any widget setups or alert configs that others have found dead handy? Always feel like I'm only scratching the surface with this stuff.
