My 280Ah LiFePO4 bank (four Fogstar Drift cells in series) hit 38°C last July just sitting in the hut with a Victron SmartShunt watching it — no direct sun on the battery box, ambient was maybe 28°C inside.
The Daly BMS I've got on there didn't throw a wobble until 45°C, but I'm not wild about running that close to the limit in a wooden structure full of hay-scented air and my best wool blankets. Thinking of swapping to a JK BMS for the tighter temp cutoff settings.
Has anyone actually measured cell-to-cell temp variance across a Fogstar Drift pack, or is it just me being paranoid in a flammable hut?
