Anyone else running a garden office off a single 200Ah lithium?

Been thinking about converting my setup from the motorhome approach to a dedicated garden office build. Currently running 200Ah Fogstar Drift in the van with a Victron SmartSolar 100/20 and 400W of panels — works a treat for 12V stuff.

Wondering if a similar spec would cut it for a garden office though. Main loads would be a laptop, monitor, LED lighting, maybe a small fan heater occasionally (probably the killer there). Thinking 12V or 24V system, haven't decided yet.

Anyone actually running a garden office purely off-grid, no grid tie-in at all? What's your battery bank like and how do you cope in winter when the panels are basically decorative?

Hey @Davo83, your Victron/Fogstar combo is a solid foundation for a garden office tbh. The main difference you'll find is that office loads tend to be more predictable than van life — monitors, a laptop, maybe a desk lamp — so your battery should cope well if you're not running anything daft like an electric heater.

One thing worth considering is whether you'll need the office in winter when solar yield drops significantly in the UK. A 200Ah Drift gives you roughly 2kWh usable, which is plenty for a typical working day, but you might want a small shore power backup for those grim January weeks when you're getting barely 30 minutes of usable sun. A Victron MultiPlus would tie everything together nicely. What's your expected daily load looking like?
