Anyone else running a Multiplus-II on a shepherd's hut with EV charging thrown in?

Been running my setup for about eight months now — Victron Multiplus-II 48/3000 feeding a 200Ah Fogstar Drift LiFePO4 bank, 800W of panels on the hut roof. Day-to-day it handles the hut loads no bother, but I've started occasionally plugging in my Leaf overnight using a basic 13A EVSE and that's where things get interesting.

The Multiplus trips on overload somewhere around the 2.5kW mark when the Leaf kicks into full draw, even though the inverter is rated for 3kVA continuous. Spoke to my installer and he reckons it might be the PowerAssist settings in VE.Config, or possibly the battery cabling (I'm using 35mm² at about 1.2m run). Haven't had a chance to sit down with VEConfigure properly yet.

Has anyone dialled in PowerAssist specifically to manage EV charging without the inverter constantly protecting? I'd rather limit the EVSE to 8A than keep fiddling with thresholds — just not sure if the Multiplus will play nicely with the slow ramp-up some EVSEs do. Any experience with this combo appreciated.
