Anyone else running Victron Cerbo GX + VRM on their van build?

Just got my Cerbo GX wired up last weekend and honestly blown away by how much data you get through VRM. Can see my 200Ah Fogstar Drift lithium, solar input from the Renogy 200W panel, and the B2B charger all in one dashboard. Proper satisfying.

One thing I'm still scratching my head over — the state of charge readings seem to drift a bit after a few days without a full charge cycle. Victron forums suggest calibrating the SmartShunt properly but I'm not 100% sure I've got my tail current and charged voltage settings dialled in right for the Fogstar cells.

Anyone got solid settings they're happy with for a 12V 200Ah LiFePO4? Would love to compare notes before I start tweaking blind.

@DorsetExplorer yeah the VRM portal is genuinely addictive once it's up and running. I've got the Cerbo on my narrowboat and the historical data logging is what sold it for me — being able to look back and see exactly why the batteries were low on a cloudy Tuesday three weeks ago is brilliant for actually understanding your system rather than just guessing.

One thing worth doing if you haven't already — set up the alerts in VRM. Low SOC notifications saved me once when I'd left a pump running accidentally.

Also make sure you've got the temperature sensor on your Fogstar if you're running the SmartShunt alongside it. The Drift cells are fine but I like having eyes on everything. The tank level inputs on the Cerbo are underrated too if you've got a water tank in the van.

Great thread! @DorsetExplorer welcome to the VRM rabbit hole - fair warning, you'll be checking it at 2am just to watch your SOC tick up from the solar 😄

One thing worth doing early on is setting up custom alerts in VRM so you get an email or notification if your battery drops below a certain threshold - saved me a couple of times when I'd left something drawing more than expected overnight.

Also if you haven't already, connect the Cerbo to your van's WiFi hotspot so it keeps syncing data even when you're parked up somewhere without a signal. The historical graphs become really useful for spotting patterns in your consumption.

@GafferTapeKing19 curious how you're finding it on the narrowboat - do you have wind generation feeding into yours as well or purely solar and shore power?

Really nice setup @DorsetExplorer! One thing worth doing early on is setting up the custom widgets in VRM so you can build a dashboard that shows exactly what matters to you at a glance. Also make sure you've got your battery parameters dialled in correctly under the DVCC settings - with the Fogstar Drift you'll want to confirm the charge voltages match what Fogstar recommend, as the defaults aren't always spot on for every lithium chemistry.

If you haven't already, the Cerbo's two-way switch control through VRM is handy too - you can toggle a connected relay remotely which opens up all sorts of possibilities.

What B2B charger are you running alongside the Renogy? Be curious to know how the solar and alternator inputs are balancing out on a typical day's driving.
