I've just finished wiring up a second 200Ah lithium bank alongside my original 100Ah AGM setup on my narrowboat, and I'm trying to get the Cerbo GX to monitor both sensibly. The AGMs are on a BMV-712 going into the Cerbo via VE.Direct, and the lithiums have their own BMS with a CANbus output — but I'm struggling to get the VRM portal to display them as separate battery systems rather than lumping everything together.
Has anyone managed to set up the "has DC system" option in the Cerbo settings to make this work cleanly? I've read through the Victron documentation and it mentions using that toggle to account for unmeasured loads, but it doesn't really cover a genuine mixed-chemistry scenario. My main concern is the Cerbo showing me a nonsense state-of-charge figure that blends the two banks — the AGMs sit at a different voltage curve entirely so it would be pretty meaningless.
Also curious whether anyone's had issues with the CANbus BMS playing nicely with the Cerbo — mine is a Fogstar Drift 200Ah and I can see it appearing in the devices list, but the SOC it's reporting looks way off compared to what the Fogstar app is showing on my phone. Any ideas gratefully received.
