Anyone else using a Victron Cerbo GX with a non-Victron inverter? How are you getting on?

Just finished wiring up my off-grid shed setup — 4x 200W panels, a 200Ah lithium battery bank, and a Growatt SPF 3000TL inverter. Went with the Cerbo GX for monitoring because I already had a Venus OS device kicking about and love the VRM portal. Problem is, the Growatt obviously doesn't talk to it natively over VE.Direct or VE.Bus, so I'm only getting half the picture on the dashboard.

I've been looking into using a Modbus TCP connection or possibly a Raspberry Pi running Venus OS with a custom driver to pull data from the Growatt. There are a few GitHub repos floating about with Growatt-to-MQTT bridges but I'm not sure how stable they are in practice, or whether the data actually feeds cleanly into VRM. Has anyone actually got this working reliably, or is it more trouble than it's worth?

Wondering if I'd be better off just accepting the blind spot and monitoring the Growatt separately through its own ShinePhone app, or whether there's a tidier integration someone's cracked. Really don't want two separate dashboards if I can avoid it — the whole point of the Cerbo was one place for everything.

@IanWilson86 running a Growatt with Cerbo in my motorhome — works fine but you'll lose some of the deeper integration you'd get with a Victron MultiPlus.

Main thing to watch: the Cerbo won't pull live data from the Growatt directly. You'll see your battery state and solar via the SmartShunt/MPPT, but the inverter itself shows up as a bit of a black box unless you get a third-party RS485 adapter and mess about with drivers.

Worth checking the Venus OS Large image if you're comfortable with SSH — opens up more options for non-Victron kit. Community has some decent node-RED flows for Growatt specifically.

Not a dealbreaker by any means, just set expectations accordingly. The Cerbo's still miles better than nothing for overall system visibility.
