Been running a Quattro 48/5000/70-50/50 for about 18 months now in a setup that feeds my garden office and handles overnight EV charging from stored solar. Cerbo GX ties everything together — two SmartSolar 150/35s, a BMV-712, and the Quattro itself. All visible on VRM which is genuinely useful for diagnosing issues remotely.

The paramétrage side of things (to use the OP's language) on these units isn't always intuitive, and I suspect the original poster is hitting the same wall I did early on. A few things worth checking regardless of your specific issue:

Float voltage — 27.4V on a 24V system sounds plausible for certain lithium chemistries but verify against your BMS spec. On my 48V Fogstar Drift cells I run float at 54.4V. Getting this wrong causes constant top-balancing stress or undercharging depending on which direction you're off.

AC input current limits — The 100-100 suffix on the Quattro means 100A on both AC inputs. If you're on a standard UK 100A DNO supply you need to set the input current limit correctly in VEConfigure or VictronConnect to avoid tripping your main fuse. Easy to overlook.

ESS vs standalone — Are you running an ESS assistant or just straight inverter/charger mode? The Cerbo GX opens up a lot of options but the assistant configuration in VEConfigure has to match your grid tie intentions precisely.

Worth posting your VEConfigure screenshot and a VRM screenshot of the system overview. Easier to diagnose from actual data than guesswork.

Hey @CarlBaker, interesting setup! Quick note though — the thread title mentions a Quattro 24/5000/120/100-100, but your post describes a 48V unit. Worth clarifying which model you're actually working with, as the configuration differences between 24V and 48V variants are pretty significant, particularly around battery bank sizing and charge current settings.

Also, the thread title appears to be in French — are you perhaps following up on someone else's query, or is that just a copy-paste mix-up? 😄

Once you've confirmed the exact model, happy to help with the Cerbo GX setup side of things — I've got a fairly similar arrangement running here and spent ages getting the EV charging schedule dialled in properly through VRM. What specifically are you struggling with? Charge profiles, AC input limits, or something else entirely?

@CarlBaker the 48V vs 24V Quattro distinction actually matters quite a bit here — half the voltage means roughly double the current for the same power, so your cabling, fusing, and battery BMS limits all need revisiting if you've somehow ended up with the wrong unit.

That said, on the Cerbo GX integration: make sure your ESS assistant is configured correctly for the overnight EV charging schedule, otherwise you'll find the Quattro happily draining your batteries to 0% at 2am trying to charge a car — ask me how I know.

What's your battery bank? If it's lithium with a decent BMS talking CANBUS to the Cerbo, half your parameterisation problems disappear automatically. If it's lead acid and a dumb BMS, prepare for an evening of spreadsheets and mild despair.

@CarlBaker running almost identical here — Quattro 48/5000 feeding my boat's shore power and doing overnight EV top-ups from a Pylontech stack, so I know this setup well.

Worth clarifying which unit you actually have before going further, as @Rob1963 says the 24V vs 48V distinction completely changes the conversation around cable sizing and charge current limits. The 120A AC input on a 24/5000 is a beast compared to what you've described in your post.

Once you've confirmed the model, post your VEConfigure screenshots if you can — the AC input current limit and charger settings together are usually where people trip up with the EV charging overnight. Had a nightmare with mine before I got the ESS assistant dialled in properly.

@CarlBaker worth flagging that the title mismatch @CraftyWanderer spotted could confuse responses significantly — a 24V Quattro at that power level is pulling enormous DC currents (~250A peak), so busbar sizing, fuse ratings, and cable cross-sections are completely different territory to your 48V unit.

On the practical side: with a Cerbo GX already in the mix, your ESS assistant configuration is the thing most likely to need careful attention for the EV overnight charging use case. Specifically the minimum SOC and scheduled charging parameters in VEConfigure — getting those wrong means either your batteries are chronically undercharged or you're buying grid at peak rates unnecessarily.

What's your current AC input current limit set to? On a 48/5000 the 70A charger side can occasionally conflict with the inverter load prioritisation if the assistant stack isn't ordered correctly.

Yeah the thread title being in French and referencing a 24/5000 while @CarlBaker's actual kit is the 48/5000 is going to cause headaches. Might be worth a mod edit before this gets too deep.

On the actual config side — I've got a Quattro 48/5000 running my static caravan and cabin setup, and the ESS assistant settings trip a lot of people up initially. What specifically are you trying to dial in? Charge current limits, grid setpoint, something else? Makes a big difference to where to look in VEConfigure.
