Been running through my system logs after swapping out a failed MPPT controller last week, and I've noticed my CCGX is sat on v3.60. Started me wondering whether I should've stuck with v3.55 given the reports I've been reading around.
My setup's a hybrid EasySolar 48/3000 with a mix of Victron gear — two 100/50 MPPTs, Pylontech batteries, and a fair bit of custom monitoring thrown in. The system's been rock solid on 3.55 for about eight months, but I've not purposely upgraded since then.
The thing is, I'm not entirely sure when that bump to 3.60 happened — possibly during a firmware push I wasn't paying attention to? — and I'm wondering if there's anything documented about known issues with 3.60 that might affect my particular setup.
I've seen a few vague comments online suggesting 3.55 is the "sweet spot" for stability, though I haven't seen detailed changelogs explaining what actually changed between the two versions. My system's running fine at the moment, which is why I'm hesitant to tinker unnecessarily, but equally I don't want to be running something problematic if there's a known issue I've missed.
Should I downgrade preemptively, or is 3.60 generally considered stable enough? Curious whether anyone else has experienced issues with the newer version, particularly on hybrid systems with battery storage.
