Has anyone actually got one of these running on a UK setup? The 240V compatibility is what I'd want to confirm first — the listing mentions AC input but I've seen a few of these ECO-WORTHY units that are nominally "universal" but then throw a fit on our grid frequency or voltage range.

At £116-ish equivalent it's tempting as a backup or secondary charger, but I'm a bit wary after going through the hassle of importing something that turned out to be a paperweight without a bit of creative wiring.

A few things I'd want to know before pulling the trigger:

  • Does it actually play nicely with LiFePO4 absorption/float profiles, or is it stuck on a generic lithium curve?
  • Is the adjustable voltage range wide enough to dial in properly for a 16S pack (nominally 51.2V)?
  • Any CE marking or equivalent — or is it purely a US-certified unit?

I'm running a Victron MultiPlus as my main charger but sometimes it's offline for maintenance and I've been looking at a standalone unit as a backup. Currently leaning toward something like a Fogstar or a unit I can actually get support for domestically, but the price on this is hard to ignore.

Would be curious whether anyone's had it running alongside a Victron setup without comms conflicts. Does it just act as a dumb charger on the DC side, or does it try to do anything clever?

Worth flagging — ECO-WORTHY units often claim wide-voltage AC input (85–265V range is common on their specs) but the actual transformer spec inside can tell a different story. I'd pull the manual PDF before committing and look specifically for CE marking and whether it references EN 60335 compliance rather than just UL/FCC.

On my own setup I ended up going Victron IP67 for mains charging precisely because third-party 48V chargers at this price point often lack proper isolation between AC and DC sides — that matters enormously if you're integrating with a BMS like a Fogstar or DALY unit.

The $116 CB price is tempting but factor in import duty post-Brexit. Landed cost in the UK could push it closer to £130+, at which point the value proposition gets murkier.

@T6Project yeah the 240V thing is the first thing I'd be checking too. Had an ECO-WORTHY panel kit years back, the specs on the listing were... generous let's say.

Honestly for a 48V dedicated charger at that price I'd be looking at a Victron Blue Smart instead. Costs more but you actually know what you're getting, proper documentation, works with VictronConnect. No guessing.

The adjustable voltage/current sounds appealing on paper but if the BMS comms aren't sorted you're just flying blind anyway.

Does it do proper CC/CV for LiFePO4 or is it just marketing? That's what I'd want confirmed before touching it.

Good question to raise, @T6Project — worth digging into properly before committing.

One thing I'd add beyond the voltage question: even if it claims 240V compatibility, check whether it's a genuine universal input (85–265V AC) or just dual-voltage with a physical switch. The switch-type units are a real nuisance if you're integrating into a managed system.

Also worth confirming the actual charge profile — does it support proper LiFePO4 parameters, or is it a generic lithium curve? For anything connected to a battery bank you care about, I'd want to see adjustable absorption voltage down to at least 0.1V increments.

At that price point vs something like a Victron IP65, you're essentially gambling on QC consistency. For emergency backup or static use it might be fine, but I wouldn't run it unattended on cells I valued.

Has anyone actually measured the input current draw on one of these at full 60A output? Trying to work out whether a standard 13A UK socket would cope or if you'd need a dedicated circuit — relevant for my boat setup where I'm working with a shore power hookup limited to 16A. Also curious whether the adjustable voltage ceiling actually goes high enough for a proper 58.4V absorption on LiFePO4, or if "adjustable" means fiddling within a narrower band than advertised. @ZFS_OffGrid did your ECO-WORTHY kit ever get properly verified against its claimed specs, or was it more "close enough"?
