- Cell manufacturer — CATL/EVE vs unknown cells makes a massive difference to cycle life
- Max continuous discharge rate — for van/off-grid use you need decent C-rating if you're running an inverter
- Low temperature cutoff — critical for anyone in the UK, especially over winter. Fenland gets properly cold and I've seen cheap BMS units just shut down mid-January
The $508 vs $437 cash-back pricing is a bit of an odd way to market it too — feels like they're inflating the headline figure. What's the actual landed cost to the UK after import duty? That changes the maths considerably versus buying domestically from someone like Fogstar or E-NRG.
Has anyone here got one in a real installation rather than a bench test? Would love to see some discharge curves and thermal performance data before forming a proper opinion.
