Has anyone actually pulled the trigger on one of these? I've been eyeing them up for my cabin setup and the spec sheet looks decent on paper — 314Ah at 48V is a serious chunk of storage for the price point.
My main concerns before I'd even consider it:
- BMS quality — what's the actual cutoff behaviour under load? Does it communicate with anything useful or is it a black box?
- Cell sourcing — are these EVE cells or something more obscure? The marketing is vague and that always makes me nervous
- Cycle life claims — they're quoting 4000+ cycles but I'd want to see independent data, not just the brochure
I'm currently running a pair of Fogstar Drift 12V batteries wired to 24V on my boat and they've been solid, but I'm planning a bigger cabin install and 48V is the direction I want to go. Victron is the dream but the budget doesn't always agree with the dream, does it.
The price on these ECO-WORTHY units seems almost too good — which is exactly what worries me. Has anyone stress tested one or at least run it through a proper capacity check with a battery analyser?
Would also be curious whether the built-in BMS plays nicely with a Victron Multiplus or if you'd need an external shunt and just treat it as a dumb battery. That integration piece is really important to me for the cabin project.
Anyone with real-world hours on one of these, please chip in — the Amazon reviews are useless for technical detail.
