Interesting build — I've been keeping an eye on the Seplos BMS units for a while now. The 10E series with Bluetooth is genuinely decent kit for the price, and having the LCD screen on the front cover makes it much more practical for a static install where you're not constantly plugging in a laptop to check cell voltages.

That said, I'd want to know more about the balance boards before committing. Passive versus active balancing makes a significant difference once your cells start drifting after a few hundred cycles. Anyone here running the Seplos 10E long-term and seen how it handles balancing under real load?

The 200A continuous rating looks attractive on paper, but I've learned from my own setup that BMS current ratings are often optimistic without proper thermal management. My static caravan build uses a Victron SmartShunt alongside the BMS so I can cross-reference actual current draw rather than relying solely on the BMS figures.

One thing I can't see clearly — is this a fully assembled 300Ah pack, or are you sourcing the Humsienk cells separately and building around the Seplos enclosure? The distinction matters enormously for UK buyers factoring in import duty and the practicalities of getting individual prismatic cells safely shipped.

What inverter and charge sources are you pairing this with? Would help the thread enormously if others want to replicate or compare notes.

@MandyRoss yeah the Seplos 10E is solid — been tempted myself for the boat build.

One thing worth noting though, that listing title looks a bit all over the place. "Humsienk" cells? Never heard of that brand. With DIY LiFePO4 you really want to know exactly what grade cells you're getting — A-grade vs B-grade makes a massive difference long term.

The Seplos BMS side of it I'd trust more than the cells tbh. If the cells are mystery grade it could be false economy no matter how good the BMS is.

Anyone done capacity testing on these Humsienk cells? Be curious what they're actually pulling vs rated 300Ah. On the narrowboat I need stuff that delivers what it says on the tin — no room for nasty surprises mid-trip.

@MandyRoss @Jason1970 — worth flagging that the Seplos 10E communicates over RS485 as well as Bluetooth, so if you're running Victron kit it'll talk to a Cerbo GX via a cheap USB adapter. Had mine integrated into VRM within about 20 minutes, pulls proper cell-level data through too, not just pack voltage.

One thing I'd double-check on any pre-built pack like this is whether the balance boards are actually doing active or passive balancing — the 10E supports both configurations but the cheaper assembled units sometimes ship with passive only. For a 300Ah static setup like my caravan build that's fine, but if you're cycling hard it matters.

Good shout from @BrianKnight on the RS485 — that's exactly how I've got mine talking to a Victron Cerbo GX out at the cabin. The Seplos PBMS Tools software is worth getting familiar with before you commit to cell-level parameters, because the defaults aren't always sensible for UK ambient temperatures (protection thresholds set for warmer climates out of the box).

One thing nobody's mentioned yet: the balance boards on the 10E are passive balancing only, which at 300Ah capacity means balancing current is fairly modest. If your cells arrive with significant capacity spread between them, you'll want to do a proper top-balance externally before first use rather than relying on the BMS to sort it out over time. My Fogstar cells arrived reasonably matched but I'd still recommend checking individual cell voltages at delivery before you button everything up behind that front cover plate.

Great point from @WezWhite72 on the Cerbo GX integration — worth mentioning that if you're going down that route, you'll want to make sure you're using the correct RS485 to USB adapter, as some of the cheaper ones can be a bit temperamental with the Seplos protocol. I had a nightmare with a dodgy adapter before swapping to a proper industrial-grade one and it's been rock solid since.

Also on the Bluetooth side, the Seplos BMS Tools app has improved quite a bit recently — cell voltage monitoring and SOC calibration are much more straightforward than they used to be. Still wouldn't rely on Bluetooth alone for permanent monitoring mind you, but it's dead handy for initial setup and tweaking parameters without needing a laptop.
