MultiPlus-II stuck in "Bulk" with near-zero charge current after AC reconnect

Right, so this has caught me out twice now and I'm starting to wonder if anyone else has seen it.

My setup is a bit different from a motorhome — it's a garden office with a MultiPlus-II 24/3000/70-32, Cerbo GX, and a 24V LiFePO4 bank (around 600Ah of Fogstar Drift cells). Got a SmartShunt doing the battery monitoring.

What's happening is this: after the grid feed disconnects and then reconnects — say after a power cut — the MultiPlus comes back online, enters Bulk as expected, but then just sits there with almost nothing going into the batteries. We're talking single-digit amps when it should be pushing the full 70A. The Cerbo shows Bulk all day but the SOC barely moves.

Both times it's sorted itself out after I've cycled the inverter off and back on via the Cerbo. Not ideal when I'm relying on this for the office.

My suspicion is something's getting confused between the SmartShunt's SOC reading and whatever the MultiPlus thinks is happening internally — but I'm genuinely not sure. Firmware is current (checked last week).

A few things I'm curious about:

  • Has anyone seen similar behaviour with Victron + LiFePO4 after a mains reconnect event?
  • Could DVCC settings be the culprit here?
  • Worth logging via VRM to catch it in the act next time?

Would love to hear if this is a known quirk or if I've got something misconfigured. Surely can't be the only one.
