Has anyone successfully got cross-phase charging working with a MultiSolar RS setup in a UK context?
I'm running a fairly modest system in my shepherd's hut — Victron MultiSolar RS 6000 on single phase (L1), paired with a Cerbo GX and a VM-3P75CT energy meter. The meter's picking up all three phases fine, but I'm struggling to get the RS to properly account for loads on L2 and L3 when calculating how much surplus to push into the batteries.
Background: the hut itself only draws from L1, but the supply coming in is three-phase from a nearby outbuilding. I'd like the system to see the total grid draw across all phases and offset accordingly, rather than just reacting to L1 in isolation.
Firmware-wise I'm on 1.31 for the MultiSolar RS and 1.06 on the energy meter. Cerbo is up to date as of last week.
A few specific questions:
- Is cross-phase compensation actually supported on the RS series, or is that a Multi/Quattro-only feature?
- Do I need to configure anything specific in VRM or is it purely a Venus OS setting?
- Anyone had issues with the VM-3P75CT reporting correctly when the RS is only connected to one phase?
I had a look through the Victron community forums but a lot of the discussion seems to be in German and focused on grid-tied setups, which isn't quite my situation. Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who's got something similar dialled in.
