NEOVOLTA NV14 and NV24 All-In-One Solar Battery Backup Inverter Energy Storage System with remote monitoring

Seen a few of these pop up on social media recently and I'm genuinely curious whether anyone's actually got hands-on time with one. The all-in-one form factor is tempting — especially for a cabin or boat install where space is tight.

That said, I'm always a bit sceptical of lesser-known brands in this space. After years of messing about with bits and bobs on my narrowboat, I've just gone full Victron ecosystem and honestly the peace of mind is worth the premium. But I get that not everyone wants to drop that kind of cash.

A few things I'd want to know before even considering something like this:

• BMS quality — what cells are they actually using, LiFePO4 I'd assume?
• Remote monitoring — is it a decent app or just some clunky web portal that gets abandoned after 18 months?
• UK warranty/support — who do you actually ring when it goes wrong?

The NV24 spec looks alright on paper for a smallish off-grid setup. Comparable wattage to what I had before I upgraded. But specs on a product sheet and real-world performance are two very different things, aren't they.

Anyone running one of these in the UK? Curious what the install experience was like and whether the inverter handles the grid disconnect cleanly. That's always the thing that catches people out.

A few things I'd want to nail down before considering one:

• BMS transparency — what chemistry are the cells, and is the BMS specs actually published? Marketing copy is suspiciously vague on this
• UK warranty support — who handles it if it fails in month 14? US-centric brand with no obvious UK distributor is a red flag for me
• Inverter topology — pure sine wave confirmed, but modified or true? Matters enormously for sensitive loads

For a cabin application specifically, I'd be tempted to compare against a Victron Multiplus-II + Fogstar Drift combination. More modular, fully repairable, and Victron's UK support network is genuinely excellent in my experience.

The all-in-one convenience is real, but serviceability on a remote site often outweighs the tidy install.

Never heard of Neovolta before this thread. For a garden office setup I'd probably stick with something like a Victron Multiplus paired with a Fogstar battery — more local support if something goes wrong and a massive community behind it.

The all-in-one form factor looks tidy on paper but you're locked into whatever the manufacturer decides. Had a mate go down a similar route with a lesser-known brand and when he needed firmware support it was a nightmare — company basically ghosted him.

What's the warranty situation with these? And more importantly, is there anyone in the UK actually servicing them?

What's the inverter spec on these? Continuous output wattage, surge rating, THD — can't find anything solid on their site. Also wondering whether it'll play nicely with existing kit or if you're locked into their ecosystem.

For the boat I ended up going Victron precisely because everything talks to everything else and there's actual UK support if it goes wrong. That matters more than most people realise until something dies at 11pm on a Friday.

Anyone know if there's a UK distributor or are people grey-importing these? Warranty on a grey import from a brand nobody's heard of would be a hard no from me.
