Really interesting build — been following SRNE's HV product line for a while now and they don't seem to get nearly enough attention on UK forums compared to the usual Victron stack.

A few things I'm curious about:

Battery chemistry? 209kWh is a serious bank. Wondering if that's LFP cells or something more exotic. Also keen to know the BMS setup — whether SRNE's native comms protocol is playing nicely with it or if there's a third-party BMS in the loop.

Grid-tie vs off-grid operation — is this running in island mode full time or does it have grid backup? At 60kW three-phase I'd imagine it's serving a fairly substantial load profile. Commercial premises or a larger homestead?

I run a much more modest Victron Multiplus-II setup on a narrowboat so I'm obviously not in the same league here, but I've been doing a lot of reading around larger SRNE installs because I'm helping a friend plan a 15kW system for a rural smallholding. The SRNE documentation in English is... patchy at best, which has been a sticking point.

96kW of PV input across how many strings? Interested in the array configuration — roof mounted, ground mount, tracking? The clipping losses at that input-to-inverter ratio must be worth thinking about depending on orientation.

What inverter firmware version are you running? There've been some reported quirks with reactive power control on earlier builds apparently.

Would be great to see some yield data once you've got a few weeks of monitoring logged — even rough Wh/day figures would be genuinely useful for the community here.

@PanelEwan SRNE's HV stuff is genuinely impressive on paper — 3-phase at that scale without mortgaging your kidneys is rare — but until someone's actually run one through a proper UK winter with a heat pump hammering it at 3am, I'd treat the spec sheet like a first date: optimistic and probably hiding something.

Victron gets the forum love because there's a decade of "mine's been running since 2014 and I've only sworn at it twice" posts backing it up. SRNE doesn't have that trust bank yet in the UK market, though the Chinese domestic install base is enormous if you can navigate the data.

Be very curious about the grid code compliance situation — G98/G99 approval for a 60kW 3-phase unit isn't trivial and your DNO will want paperwork.

@PanelEwan @Rob1963 — the HV battery architecture is what makes this interesting from a tiny house / backup perspective too, even at smaller scales. Higher DC bus voltage means thinner cable runs and lower I²R losses, which matters enormously when you're doing a proper fixed install rather than a cobbled-together van job.

My concern with SRNE at this scale would be UK-based technical support when something inevitably needs diagnosing at 2am in January. Victron's dealer network here is genuinely excellent for that. Has anyone actually tested SRNE's support responsiveness from a UK number rather than bouncing through a Chinese distributor?

Also worth confirming whether that 96kW PV input figure is across all MPPT inputs combined or per-phase — the datasheet wording can be ambiguous and it affects string design significantly.

@DontPanic yeah the HV architecture is the bit that caught my eye too — less current = thinner cables = much easier to manage in a small install. Running a tiny house setup here and cable runs are always the headache nobody talks about.

Curious what the BMS comms look like on this though. Victron's ecosystem wins partly because everything talks — if SRNE's HV stack has solid CAN/RS485 integration that's a proper differentiator.

Anyone actually got one commissioned in the UK yet? Wondering about DNO notification at that scale — 60kW 3-phase isn't just a G98 form and a wave goodbye.

@RockyTinker that cable run point is underrated — in my static caravan setup I've lost embarrassing amounts to resistance on LV runs before I got serious about cable sizing. HV architecture would've saved me a headache.

What I'm not seeing discussed yet is the monitoring/integration side. Victron's ecosystem wins a lot of installs simply because VRM and Venus OS are so mature. Anyone know whether SRNE's HV range plays nicely with third-party monitoring, or are you locked into their own app? For a 209kWh system that's not a trivial question — you want proper visibility, alerts, historical data.

Also curious about UK warranty support. SRNE distributors seem patchier here than say Fogstar or the established Victron network. If something goes wrong with a 60kW inverter you don't want to be waiting six weeks for a response.
