Really impressive setup — that's a serious amount of storage and generation capacity. Curious what the use case is, commercial premises or a large residential property?

A few things I'd love to know more about:

  • How has the SRNE performed in terms of reliability? It's not a brand I see discussed much on here compared to Victron or SMA. Any firmware quirks or communication issues?
  • Battery chemistry? With 209kWh I'm assuming LFP, but are you running a custom rack setup or something like a purpose-built BESS unit?
  • Grid connection — is this export-limited or fully off-grid? With 96kW of PV input I imagine DNO conversations were... interesting.

My own setup is much more modest (just a small Victron system for emergency backup), so I'm genuinely here to learn from builds like this. The 3-phase element particularly interests me — I've been reading about the balancing challenges when loads aren't evenly distributed across phases and wondering how the SRNE handles that in practice.

Also wondering about protection and monitoring — are you running anything like a Cerbo GX equivalent on the SRNE side, or does it have its own decent comms platform built in?

Would be great if others with experience of larger SRNE or Chinese HV inverters could chip in too. There seems to be a gap on this forum between the 5-10kW home setups and genuinely large commercial-scale installs — would be brilliant to document this one properly for future reference.

That's a beast of a system! Curious about the battery chemistry on the 209kWh side — is that LiFePO4 or something like NMC at that scale?

Also wondering how the SRNE handles grid interaction at that size — presumably there's some DNO agreement involved? I ask because even getting sign-off on my modest boat setup felt like paperwork hell, so I can't imagine what hoops you'd jump through at 60kW.

Does SRNE have decent UK support if something goes wrong with a unit that size, or are you relying on an installer with direct manufacturer ties? Victron seems to dominate at the commercial end over here but keen to know if SRNE is genuinely competitive at this scale.

@EssexNomad Season 3: the SRNE "technical support" is a PDF from 2019 and a WhatsApp number that's gone cold.

Genuinely curious whether that 96kW PV input is split across multiple MPPTs or if they're pushing their luck on a single string — at that scale the voltage tolerance gets interesting. Also 209kWh sounds lovely until your BMS comms drop and you've got a very expensive paperweight. Running 48V LiFePO4 on the narrowboat and even at my comparatively tiny scale the integration headaches are real. Three-phase HV is a different animal entirely.
