Been scratching my head over this one for a few weeks now. Running a 48v LiFePO4 bank (4x 280Ah EVE cells in series, so 16 cells total wired as 4S4P), managed through a Daly 150A BMS. The Multiplus-II 48/3000 is set up with the DC input low shutdown at 44v and the low battery alarm threshold at 47v in VEConfigure — yet it keeps triggering the alarm when the bank is sitting at 49–49.5v under moderate load (roughly 1.2kW). Inverter firmware is v494, ESS assistant loaded.
I've checked the cabling and the voltage drop between the battery terminals and the inverter DC input is only around 0.3v at that load, so the inverter should be seeing somewhere around 48.7v minimum. That's well above 47v. I've also got a Victron SmartShunt in the circuit and it's reading sensible numbers — agrees with my multimeter to within 0.1v.
Wondering if this is a firmware quirk, something odd with the ESS assistant settings, or possibly the Daly BMS sending a dodgy signal over the VE.Can bus (though I'm not actually using DVCC, just monitoring). Has anyone had similar bother with this combination of kit, or know which parameter in VEConfigure is most likely the culprit?
