Victron MultiPlus-II randomly dropping to float at 80% — anyone else seen this?

Been scratching my head over this one for a few weeks now. Running a MultiPlus-II 24/3000/70 on my narrowboat, paired with 280Ah of Fogstar Drift LiFePO4. Charge profile set up through VE.Configure, absorption at 28.4V, float at 27.2V — all pretty standard stuff. But lately the unit keeps flicking to float when the battery's barely hit 80% SOC according to the Victron SmartShunt.

First thought it was the tail current setting being too aggressive, so I bumped absorption tail current up from 2% to 4% of capacity. Made no difference whatsoever. The MultiPlus just seems to decide it's done, usually after about 25–30 minutes in absorption regardless of actual SOC. Doesn't matter if I'm on shore power or running the generator.

Checked all the VE.Bus connections, updated to the latest firmware (502), and I'm not seeing any fault codes or alarms in VictronConnect. Temperature sensor is reading sensibly. It's not a catastrophic problem — the boat's liveable — but I'm losing usable capacity and it's bugging me.

Has anyone hit this with the MultiPlus-II specifically? Wondering if it's a VE.Configure quirk, a BMS comms issue (I'm not running DVCC, no VE.Bus BMS in the loop), or something else entirely. Genuinely stumped.
