Has anyone else had a chance to test the new Switches panel that's appeared in the VRM dashboard within VictronConnect following the latest update?
I've got a Cerbo GX monitoring my static caravan setup — 400Ah of Fogstar Drift lithium, couple of Renogy panels on the roof — and I'm trying to work out whether the Switches panel will let me toggle the relay outputs directly from the app without having to dig through the remote console.
Specifically, I want to use one of the Cerbo's relays to control a small immersion heater when there's surplus. At the moment I'm doing it manually which is, frankly, a pain when I'm not on site.
A few questions if anyone's tested this:
- Does the Switches panel show all configured relays, or only certain ones?
- Is there any latency concern when toggling remotely over the VRM portal? I'm on a fairly patchy rural mobile signal out there.
- Are there any permissions settings to be aware of — I share VRM access with my neighbour who keeps an eye on things, and I'd rather he couldn't accidentally switch things off.
Also noticed the release notes mentioned a bug fix but the wording was cut off in what I read — does anyone know what specifically was patched? Wondering if it's related to the dashboard occasionally failing to load historical data, which I've had intermittently for a few weeks.
Not a massive installation by any means but it'd be genuinely useful to get this working properly before winter when I'm relying on the backup more heavily.
