Anyone else had a poke around the updated VRM layout inside Victron Connect yet?
Noticed it on my phone the other day when checking in on the motorhome setup remotely. First impression — it's cleaner, definitely. The at-a-glance stuff seems more logical now, especially the energy flow view. Used to feel a bit cluttered when you just wanted a quick sanity check on SOC and what the solar was doing.
That said, I'm still getting used to where everything lives. Muscle memory from the old layout keeps catching me out 😅
A few things I'm wondering:
- Historical data — does anyone find it easier to pull up consumption trends now, or is that still a faff?
- For those running Fogstar Drift or other third-party lithium with a Victron MPPT and no proper GX device, are you getting the full benefit of the new layout or is it still fairly limited without the full ecosystem?
- Anyone on a tiny house or static setup using VRM more heavily than us van/motorhome types — curious if the new dashboard makes more sense at larger scale
Personally I think Victron are heading in the right direction. The app used to feel like it was built for engineers first and users second. Still not perfect but it's improving.
Would be good to hear from others — especially if you're monitoring remotely and relying on VRM as your main window into the system. Is the new look actually making your life easier day to day, or is it change for change's sake?
