About the BatteryProtect 12/24V-220A
The BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non-essential loads before it is completely discharged (which would damage the battery) or before it has insufficient power left to crank the engine.
The BatteryProtect is a uni-directional device. It can only deal with current in one direction, so either current to a load, or current from a charger, but not both currents at the same time. Current can only flow from the Battery terminal to the Load terminal.
Features
- Over voltage protection — the load is disconnected whenever the DC voltage exceeds 16V (12V system) or 32V (24V system)
- Ignition proof — uses MOSFET switches instead of relays, so no sparks
- 12/24V auto ranging — automatically detects system voltage
- Programmable — can be set to engage/disengage at several different voltages with seven-segment display
- Delayed alarm output — alarm activates if voltage drops below preset level for more than 12 seconds
- Delayed load disconnect — load disconnects 90 seconds after alarm activation
- Li-ion mode — special setting allows control by VE.Bus BMS
- Low power consumption — only 2mA when on
