About the BCD 402 2 batteries 40A (combiner diode)
The Victron BCD 402 Diode Battery Combiner guarantees continuous DC power to mission-critical equipment such as electronic engine controls. Two DC power sources are connected in parallel through Schottky diodes so that failure of one source does not interrupt power to the critical load. The low voltage drop is approximately 0.3V at low current and 0.45V at rated output. Rated for both 12V and 24V systems with M6 bolt connections. Must be mounted on a non-flammable surface due to heat generation under load.
