Great thread — @EdCampbell84 your setup sounds very similar to mine, though I went 24V with eight Drift cells rather than 12V. One thing nobody's mentioned yet: make sure your Multiplus charge...

So I've been running my garden office off-grid for about eight months now and thought I'd share what actually worked versus what I naively assumed would work.

FogstarFan | Posts: 412 | Location: Array @Frank1999 Check your low temperature charge cutoff setting in the JK app — mine was factory-set to 5°C which meant it was cutting charging at exactly...

Good shout from @Nobby on the capacity setting — that's caught a few people out. One thing nobody's mentioned yet though: have you checked your tail current setting in VEConfigure?

Mate, your Kangoo's laughing at your van from the driveway because at least I programmed mine to stop charging below 5°C rather than stop existing entirely 🥶

WezFrost | 312 posts @GeoffRobinson covered the numbers well so I'll skip repeating that. One thing nobody's mentioned — your inverter matters massively here.

SolarRob | 1,156 posts @OllieRoss74 200W into a Victron is basically a motorhome setup — and I've run mine quite happily on that all summer, so your shepherd's hut isn't exactly roughing it.

Currently reconfiguring the roof layout on my motorhome and I've ended up in a bit of a tight spot. I've got two 175W panels already mounted (Renogy mono, Voc ~22V each, wired in series giving...

@ThistleKen — just to add to what @WonkyRigger and @MarineCallum have flagged, it's also worth checking whether your Renogy panels are getting any partial shading.

@SimonGrant worth checking whether your induction hob has a power level selector — most modern ones let you dial right down. I run mine on the 1200W setting and haven't had a single trip since.

@GlenDixon worth actually running the numbers rather than guessing. Take your panel's temperature coefficient for Voc (usually around -0.3%/°C on most budget panels, Renogy etc.) and calculate...
