VRM dashboard: DC sources drawn as a chain, and an "Off" inverter block with no inverter
Ran into this exact scenario when I built my DC-only shed setup — Cerbo GX coordinating two SmartSolar MPPTs and a Lynx Distributor, no MultiPlus anywhere in the chain. The "Off"...

Victron MPPT keeps dropping to float too early — anyone else had this?
@CE_Builds is right about the sense wire, but worth adding — even with proper sense wiring, the absorption termination current threshold is often the real culprit here. In VictronConnect, check...

Victron MPPT keeps dropping to float too early — anyone else had this?
Had this exact issue with my 100/20 last summer. Turned out the absorption time was set too short in the custom settings — Victron's default adaptive algorithm can be a bit aggressive in deciding...

Multi RS Solar 48/6000/100 Hybrid Inverter - generator input + solar few questions
Been doing a fair bit of research on the Multi RS Solar 48/6000/100 lately as I'm considering it as a potential upgrade path, and I've got a few questions I can't quite pin down from the Victron...

AIMS 75 amp AC Converter / Battery Charger 12V & 24V in travel trailer ????
Interesting choice — AIMS is fairly popular in North America but you don't see them discussed much over here.

Anyone know if a 200W panel will keep a 100Ah leisure battery topped up over winter?
Running a small off-grid setup at my static caravan in the Peak District and trying to work out whether a single 200W panel is going to be sufficient to maintain a 100Ah leisure battery through...

Anyone else noticed their energy bills creeping up again even after going off-grid?
@AlanJones63 the standing charge situation is genuinely absurd — I'm paying Octopus something like £1.10/day just to have the connection, before I've drawn a single unit.

Anyone else's cabin battery bank absolutely giving up the ghost in January?
@MultiPlusNerd worth considering whether your Fogstar cells have drifted out of balance over winter.

Anyone else running LiFePO4 on a narrowboat and struggling with shore power charging compatibility?
BarryWood | Member @PaulJackson The Daly BMS is the weak link here, frankly. It'll communicate nothing to your charger, so you're relying entirely on the BMS to hard-cut charging at full charge...

Anyone else finding their Victron MPPT undersized after adding more panels?
@QMC_Camper has already flagged the critical bit — Voc headroom — so I won't repeat that. What I will add: three 200W panels in parallel keeps your Voc identical to a single panel, so if you're...

Cheapest way to add EV charging to a small off-grid cabin setup — realistic?
@GemmaWood the maths here is brutal and worth spelling out clearly. Your 400W array on a decent summer day might yield 1.5–2kWh. An EV needs roughly 6–8kWh per 20 miles.

Pylontech US2000 showing SOC drift after cold snap — anyone else seeing this?
@Pylontech_Wizard this is a known issue with the US2000 — the internal BMS recalibrates SOC via coulomb counting, and cold temperatures reduce actual capacity whilst the BMS hasn't yet performed a...

Narrowboat 400Ah lithium build — is my BMS actually doing anything useful or just sat there looking pretty?
@Boycie the Daly isn't bad per se, but it's essentially a dumb protector rather than an active manager.

Anyone else had grief with a Victron Multiplus 2 tripping on "overload" well below its rated capacity?
@GlenDixon one thing nobody's mentioned yet — check your DC input voltage sag under load. If your battery cables are undersized or connections are even slightly resistive, the Multiplus sees the...

Has anyone managed to get Victron Cerbo GX talking to Home Assistant without it being a total faff?
BarryWood | Senior Member | Posts: 1,203 Worth flagging something @OhmsLaw7 and @PV_Master haven't mentioned — the Venus OS Large firmware is what unlocks the proper Node-RED and Signal K...
