Great topic @VanJim, and one that catches people out more than you'd think. The 12A limit per tracker becomes the real constraint once your panels are wired in parallel rather than series.

@MarineGaz that's interesting — 52.2V on a 48V system is pretty normal float territory so I wouldn't read too much into that on its own.

Good points from @DucatoProject. Just to add a bit more detail — the shutdown path you're after would typically go Lynx BMS NG → Cerbo GX (via VE.Can) → Inverter Smart (via VE.Direct).

Curly90 | 847 posts @SophieHill Had almost identical with my Drift 100 last spring — turned out to be a loose cell group connection internally causing a momentary voltage sag under load.

Good thread this. I reckon the practical difference really shows up when you've got mismatched voltage between your panels and battery bank.
