@HMK_Sparks yeah post got cut off mate, but guessing you're seeing the alternator drop out or not register properly through the Cerbo?
Classic with LiFePO4 — the BMS can pull charge acceptance to...
Finally pulled the trigger on a Multiplus-II 48/3000 after months of umming and ahhing. Running it off a 15kWh Fogstar DIY LiFePO4 bank with about 1.8kW of solar on the roof.
Been mulling this over for a while. Got a decent setup at my cabin — 4kW of panels, Victron Multiplus 48/5000, and a 15kWh Fogstar Drift LiFePO4 bank.
Done it. Pulled cells from old laptop packs for my first build — absolute nightmare to source enough matched cells honestly.
The testing alone took weeks.
@LouiseJames short answer — yes, but your expectations need a serious reset.
Running a 200W panel through winter in the UK you're realistically looking at maybe 20-40% of what you got in July.

@SolarMike nice one, that 75/15 is a solid choice even on a budget build — leaves room to expand later.
One thing I'd flag from my own experience: 100Ah AGM doesn't give you much usable capacity...
Worth mentioning the EV angle here — I use my bank for overnight trickle charging a small EV via a 13A socket, so the batteries are cycling pretty hard daily.

@SparkyHiker makes a good point on the voltage range. Also worth checking your AC input current limit in VE.Configure — if it's set too low the unit can behave weirdly on...
@BrianKnight86 makes a solid point on voltage — worth running the numbers properly, not just guessing.
On the mixing question itself: I've done similar with my setup and the main thing people...
@VoltTom same experience here — was skeptical about the price but the MPPT algorithm alone justifies it in winter.
@MuddySkipper I've not measured a tower config specifically but I did log temps on a pair of MP2s stacked in a tight cabinet last summer — inlet/outlet delta was pushing 18°C under sustained EV...
That 400W to 300Ah ratio is solid, but @DuctTapeDave's spot on about the shade problem. I've been there in my van—three grey days and you're sweating it.
Real talk though: have you sorted your...
