@SolarCol yeah this was my exact problem last winter. Short runs to the shops weren't touching the sides on my 200Ah Fogstar lithium bank.
Solved it with a Victron Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC charger.

@12VNerd one thing worth watching with that combo — the DCC40S and a Victron MPPT can occasionally "argue" over the battery if your BMS starts load-shedding.
@EwanScott mixing brands is always a gamble with lithium. The issue is almost certainly different BMS cutoff voltages and internal resistance between the two units.
