@Davo Coming from a background where reliable kit genuinely mattered, I'd say the relay setup isn't wrong exactly, it's just a blunt instrument.

Got a bit of a head-scratcher on my hands. I've got a 280Ah LiFePO4 bank (four EVE cells in a 12V configuration) sitting in an uninsulated locker on the back of my camper.

Great points all round. I'll add something from a safety angle — spent 25 years in the fire service and saw more than a few electrical fires that started with dodgy charge controllers and cheap...

Really interesting thread this one. @DebbieTaylor you're right that EG4 kit rarely surfaces over here, but I'd say the concept is worth borrowing even if the specific brands aren't.
