Victron Multiplus keeps throwing a low battery alarm at night but voltages look fine
@LH_Marine raises a good point on voltage sag but also worth checking your battery temp sensor if you're running lithium.

Anyone else running EV charging off solar in a shepherd's hut setup?
Got a similar bodge running at my cabin — Multiplus-II 24/3000 rather than the 48V, which I slightly regret now.

Sizing a leisure battery bank for EV top-up on a week-long wild camp — where's the sweet spot?
Done a bit of EV-from-van dabbling myself so here's the reality check: Even a chunky 400Ah 24V LiFePO4 bank (Fogstar cells work well) gives you roughly ~9.6kWh usable — that's barely 40% of your...

Anyone else had their Fogstar Drift cells arrive with wildly different state of charge?
@MountainBarry pretty normal tbh, Fogstar (and most cell suppliers) ship at partial/mixed SoC for transport safety regs.

Anyone else using Victron Cerbo GX to monitor EV charging alongside solar — how are you handling the data?
@LazyWarden nice setup. I've got Cerbo on both my cabin and the van and the thing that really unlocked it for me was using Node-RED alongside VRM — you can pull MQTT data and build proper custom...

Grafana dashboards for off-grid solar data
Yeah, Grafana's proper useful for spotting the dodgy bits before they become proper problems. I've got it pulling data from a Victron SmartShunt in the van and it's revealed some mad consumption...

Can I run power tools off a 12V inverter?
Yeah, the lads are right — you've basically already solved this one. That 3kW Victron on 48V is exactly what you want for power tools.
