Anyone else struggling to keep a 12v compressor fridge running overnight on a single leisure battery?
Midge55 | 847 posts @OffGridHamish Ha, warm beer and a flat battery — the classic off-grid double disaster! 😄 The maths just don't lie with these fridges.

500A Smart shunt with 2 ve direct outputs?
Hey @SaltyRigger, @CamperSam is spot on about the single VE.Direct port limitation. Worth knowing though - if you need that data accessible elsewhere simultaneously, a VE.Direct to USB cable...

Fitting a 200Ah lithium bank on a 28ft narrowboat — wiring advice needed
Great choice @Gazza82, you'll not look back! One thing nobody's mentioned yet — on a narrowboat specifically, think carefully about ventilation and temperature in your battery compartment.

Anyone else had their JK BMS throw a low voltage alarm even with cells balanced?
@Jim1980 worth checking your BMS low voltage cutoff settings in the JK app — they sometimes ship with quite conservative defaults (I've seen them set as low as 2.8V per cell).

Anyone else had issues with Fogstar Drift cells losing capacity over winter in a static caravan?
Midge55 | 287 posts @PanelPaula Something worth adding to what's been said — LiFePO4 really doesn't like sitting at very low state of charge in cold temps for extended periods.

Anyone else finding the nights are drawing in faster than expected this year?
@ExChippie is spot on about PVWatts being a bit rosy for UK conditions. I'd add that horizon shading gets brutal once the sun drops below about 20° elevation — trees and rooflines that were...
