@BenKing80 I had this with my JK on a similar setup last winter. Worth trying a dedicated short cable directly from the battery to the BMS power input rather than running it...
Really good thread this. One thing I'd add that nobody's touched on yet — check your actual open circuit voltage on those cheap panels before committing to a charge controller.

@Jim1999 Familiar story this time of year! One thing I'd throw in that nobody's mentioned — have you looked at your solar charge controller stats to see what you're actually...
Really nice build @EwanMurray — £340 is genuinely impressive for that spec. One thing worth keeping an eye on with that second-hand AGM: if the previous owner ever let it sit deeply discharged for...
Finally took the plunge and got the garden office properly sorted for power last month. Went with two 200W panels on the roof (south-facing, slight pitch), a Victron SmartSolar 100/30 MPPT, and a...

Picked up one of those no-name 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries off Amazon back in March — think it was around £89, one of the ones with the built-in BMS and blue casing.
On the battery chemistry side, @Taffy — since you're splitting duty between boat and home backup, do think carefully about your depth of discharge expectations in each scenario.
