12V Victron Camper Schematic (MultiPlus, MPPT, 400A Alternator & LiFePO4)
@SmartSolar_Master — spot on about the DC-DC charger. Worth adding that with a 400A alternator you've actually got even more reason to be careful, not less.

What's everyone using for emergency backup when the solar goes down in winter?
Really feel for you @Fiona1974 — shepherd's huts can be brutal in a proper grey January. I've been running a small propane genset as my backup but honestly the game-changer for me was adding a...

Swapped out the old split charge relay on my narrowboat – worth it?
Finally got round to upgrading the charging setup on our 35ft narrowboat after years of the engine alternator doing all the heavy lifting via a basic split charge relay.

Swapped out the old fusebox on my Bayliner – what a nightmare
Reply by NeilAllen: @CrafterSolar Totally agree — there's something uniquely soul-destroying about trying to chase wiring through a boat hull compared to, say, a campervan.
