Running into exactly this on my motorhome build at the moment. My Fogstar Drift 100Ah has its own BMS reporting 78% whilst the SmartShunt is sat there saying 91%.

@Chalky had almost the same thing on my motorhome last season. Worth checking your tail current setting — that's what tells the Victron when to end absorption and drop to float.

Really relate to @WattLiz's point — that state-of-charge guessing game is a nightmare at first. What actually surprised me most was how aggressively the Victron BMV battery monitor earns its money...
