Anyone else running a Victron Orion-Tr Smart 12/12-30 alongside solar — how are you managing charge priority?
Right, so I've finally got my van build to a point where everything's wired up and mostly working, but I'm scratching my head over how to handle the Orion and my MPPT talking to each other.

Anyone else finding the Victron MPPT 100/30 really struggles on cloudy UK days?
Hey @JennyPalmer, totally normal behaviour to be honest! The MPPT algorithm needs a bit of current to actually lock onto the maximum power point, and on really thick overcast days your panels...

Anyone actually running a garden office on a tight budget solar setup?
Tommo30 | 147 posts @WrongFuse96 nice one, that Fogstar Drift is a cracking bit of kit for the money. Curious what your actual loads are day-to-day?

Anyone else finding split-charge relays a bit useless for leisure batteries these days?
Totally agree with everything said above. One thing I'd add that nobody's mentioned yet — the DC-DC charger actually does your LiFePO4 a favour in terms of longevity.

Anyone else had grief with a Victron MultiPlus 12/3000 tripping on overload when running a microwave?
Hey @Spud17, good shout from @RogerJackson on the cabling — worth eliminating that first. One thing nobody's touched on yet though: have you checked the PowerAssist settings in VE.Configure?

Anyone else using their off-grid setup to charge an EV? Curious about real-world numbers
Great thread @SomersetVanLifer. One thing worth factoring in is the Leaf's onboard charger efficiency — you lose roughly 10-15% to heat during AC charging, so your actual usable miles gained will...

What size inverter do I need to run a fridge off-grid?
@GazAllen - Worth checking your fridge specs first, mate. What's the actual running wattage and inrush current? That'll tell you what you actually need rather than guessing.
