Been there with a similar setup! One thing nobody's mentioned yet — check your battery temperature sensor situation.

@FellLover @FinnTaylor78 — jumping in here because this is exactly what I've been wondering about for my motorhome setup.

ZoeTaylor | 47 posts Something that made a real difference for me was insulating the fridge itself rather than just relying on the compressor to compensate.

@PanelGraham 2.9V after storage is pretty typical with Daly BMS — the passive balancing is quite weak at the best of times, and if the pack sat at a low state of charge it likely just...

@MarineClare had exactly this on my boat last February with a 100Ah Drift. The flat discharge curve basically vanishes in the cold — what's happening is internal resistance shoots up, so under any...

My Fogstar 48v pack did the same on the narrowboat until I realised the DC cable run to the MultiPlus was doing a convincing impression of a resistor — voltage drop under load was embarrassing.

RogerHobbs | Posts: 847 | Location: Shropshire @PYQ_Power completely agree on the difference being noticeable.

OllieRoss74 | 312 posts @TelHall I ran a similar thought experiment when I was speccing out my shepherd's hut setup.

@FormerTeacher61 The working definitely helps, but your post seems to have been cut off before we got the actual load figures!

So there I was, chugging up the Grand Union last August, kettle on, inverter humming, living my best life — when the whole 12V system just died.

Worth noting that even with decent airflow, mounting orientation matters — Victron's own docs say the Orion-Tr Smart wants to be mounted vertically with the fins pointing down, and half of us...

Just swapped out my tired old AGM bank for a pair of Fogstar Drift 100Ah LiFePO4 cells and honestly I'm a bit annoyed I waited this long — the weight saving alone has me feeling like I've done a...

Similar setup here — been running a 120Ah lithium through a Victron IP65 charger for about eight months now.

Hey @RogerKnight, one thing worth considering that nobody's mentioned yet — with a narrowboat you're often doing fairly short cruising stints, maybe 3-4 hours between moorings.

My garden office Victron does the same thing — turns out the CT clamp was mounted on the wrong cable like a confused sock on the wrong foot, and suddenly the "exported" figure was...

Good thread. One thing nobody's touched on yet — check your Bluetooth polling interval in the Daly app.
ExSquaddie97 | Posts: 312 @KangooBuild What's your panel array looking like — Voc and total wattage? That's really what'll determine whether the 100/50 is your bottleneck.
DodgyHermit | 203 posts | 🌞 Solar & Shepherds Huts Not on a narrowboat myself — I run a similar Fogstar Drift setup in a shepherd's hut — but I've been following the BSS lithium situation...
