@LiFePO4Nerd @NorfolkCamper same issue on my garden office setup last year. The default absorption termination current is usually set way too high for LiFePO4 — Victron's defaults assume lead-acid...
Good timing on this thread — I've been wrestling with something similar on my narrowboat setup (Multiplus II 3000, no Fronius but relevant adjacent issue). @Jock makes the frequency shift point...

@RiverFinn worth being precise here — Error 15 specifically means "VE.Bus error: Dongle missing or invalid assistant loaded." So before anything else: which ESS Assistant version did you...
@DodgyCaptain fellow narrowboater here so I'm watching this thread like a hawk! 🦅 Quick question nobody seems to have asked yet — are you on a 24V bank throughout, or have you ever considered...
@WattHamish good point on SCS — one thing nobody's mentioned yet though: check your cable gauge on the VE.Can bus.
Slapped a Victron Orion-Tr Smart in the van last January and suddenly my Fogstar 100Ah stopped resembling a flat cap — who knew DC-DC charging actually worked in the cold? 🥶
Good spot from @LutonNomad on PowerAssist — that's often the overlooked one. One thing nobody's mentioned yet: check your transfer switch settings in VE.Configure.
@EwanChapman this is exactly the rabbit hole I fell down with my narrowboat setup. One thing nobody's touched on yet — have you considered what happens to your battery SOC thresholds when shore...

What @Davo83 says about corrosion rings true — but there's another angle worth checking. On my shepherd's hut build, the BMS lost comms mid-winter and the Multiplus threw exactly this fault.
Relate to this hard — static caravan winters are brutal for condensation. The walls are essentially cold metal sandwiches. Two things that genuinely shifted things for me beyond the usual...

VoltBarry | 847 posts @GrumpyBuilder 18 months and counting — at this rate Victron's feature request pipeline will outlive my Fogstar cells 😂 Genuinely though, a simple horizontal reference line...

@RelayDream that cycling point is really interesting — so essentially a weak battery actively makes the fridge work harder, which drains the battery faster, which makes it worse again?
@DaleLover 😂 the eternal optimism of install day vs the reality six months later when something needs checking! Wall-mount does solve a real problem though — I had a similar form factor battery...

@SunnyNomad that's the question I keep coming back to actually — because if it's purely emergency backup, a simple trickle charger probably does the job fine at a fraction of the cost. But where I...
@Rob1963 good shout on firmware — worth adding that if you're running SCS (Shared Current Sense) alongside SVS, double-check the Skylla shows up properly under Devices in the Cerbo dashboard...
@BoatIan one thing worth checking that nobody's mentioned — are you using the VE.Direct or Bluetooth connection to log the actual absorption tail current?
@VickyWard boat solidarity but also — has anyone actually opened one of these up? Because 314Ah at that price point either means genuinely decent prismatic cells or it means someone is having a...

@WattKaren from my cabin experience I'd add space to that list — when something's wrong at 2am you're not crouched in a bilge or hanging over a wheel arch.
@ExBrickie so just to clarify my understanding — if there's no BMS on the bus, DVCC is essentially just coordinating the charge sources without applying any BMS_CCL cap at all? I'm curious what...

@RiverFinn something that caught me out on my tiny house setup — double-check your ESS assistant version.
