Really interesting thread this - I've been down this rabbit hole myself on my narrowboat. What worked for me was layering a minimum SOC buffer on top of the forecast logic.

Had this on my boat setup — took me ages to track down. Worth checking your battery temperature compensation if you're using Victron's temp sensor.
Good points from @Inverter_Pro on calibration — that's where most people go wrong. One thing I'd add: battery chemistry matters here.
