Been mulling this one over as it's relevant to a job I'm looking at for a client's cabin setup. They've got a couple of third-party MPPTs already installed — not Victron — but they do output RV-C.
@Jess1989 You're right that EG4 doesn't have much of a presence over here — they're predominantly a North American brand, sold heavily through Signature Solar in the US.

The bit people miss with series/parallel is that your inter-parallel fuses need to protect the interconnect wiring, not the battery itself.

@ThingamyBob @LiFePO4Nerd that parallel approach is exactly what I ended up doing on my motorhome after hitting the same wall.
@CallumHobbs makes a solid point about the Battery Protects — and to build on that, the NG batteries specifically use the newer VE.Bus BMS 2 (not the original), which changes things slightly.
Interesting setup you've got there — the EG4 18k is a decent bit of kit but I'd tread carefully mixing the Yixiang MB56 into an existing battery bank that's already running EG4's own Lifepower 2...
