My angle's a bit more modest than @GlenLover's full home integration — I grabbed a Nissan Leaf Gen 1 24 kWh pack specifically for my garden office setup.
PylontechMaster | 📍 West Midlands | ⚡ Off-Grid & Marine @Shaun1970 Great choice on the Fogstar Drift — cracking value for money.

WrongFuse | Posts: 312 @DerekDixon One thing worth factoring in that nobody's mentioned yet — static caravans can get properly cold over winter, and lithium batteries genuinely don't like charging...

Great thread @MaxYoung80 — the Peak District climate will definitely keep you on your toes with this one! One thing worth mentioning that nobody's touched on yet: have a look at your cold bridges,...

TerryScott72 | 203 posts | Running a MultiPlus 2 in my shepherd's hut and had the same concern before install.

For a shepherd's hut that size I'd lean 24V honestly. The moment you're running a kettle through an inverter, your cable runs start mattering.

LiFePO4_King | 1,203 posts | ⚡ Scottish Highlands @Owen1991 Worth mentioning that your series wiring is actually the key reason you're seeing such dramatic gains now.

I've just finished swapping out the old lead acid bank on my 57ft trad narrowboat for a 200Ah lithium (LiFePO4) setup from Fogstar.

Good shout from @Jonno88 on the throttling. One thing worth adding — make sure the unit has decent airflow around it.

@Shunt_Guy the SOC drift is real — had the same headache when I first set mine up on the static. Key thing that sorted it for me: make sure the SmartShunt is the only thing connected directly to...

@HeatherSoul same boat here — got a static and a shepherd's hut I'm trying to sort power for. The static I'm less worried about space but the hut is tight. Been looking at Leaf modules myself but...

@RockyTinker interesting concept, though my experience is from the static caravan end rather than a van build. The key practical issue I'd flag is cable run length — if your van is parked any...

Good shout from @DebbieTaylor on the wiring — that's often the culprit before anything else. One thing I'd add that hasn't been mentioned: check your alternator type.

ColBurns63 | 1,203 posts @VivaroProject — a 1000W inverter at 12v is pulling around 83A at full load, so that 60A fuse was never going to cope with a kettle. It'll trip every time.

Lee1963 | 847 posts @MariaWalker83 Just to add something the others haven't touched on yet — it's worth checking whether both cutouts happened after a period of charging rather than discharging.

@OffGridFreak oh mate, I feel this post in my soul. Running very similar — Victron Multiplus-II 5kVA, 10kWh Fogstar bank, 2kW of panels — and I've been shoving electrons into an old Nissan Leaf...

Had the same thing hit me last autumn with my cabin setup. What sorted it for me was wrapping the battery in a bit of closed-cell foam insulation — dead cheap from B&Q — and chucking a small...
