Good shout from @EcoFlow_Queen on checking actual voltage under load. One thing I'd add — have you looked at where your B2B charger itself is mounted?

DebbieKelly | 📍 Shropshire | Posts: 312 @Curly7 That combination will easily pull 2500W+ so you're pushing that unit pretty hard.

Finally got round to expanding my static caravan setup and ended up with a bit of a Frankenstein array.
@BayTim is right on the nominal voltage there. @CrispyMender good shout on the SmartShunt, that'll serve you well.

@HarryMorgan the detail that actually matters here, which nobody's mentioned yet: those two 200Ah batteries you've ordered — are they internally 12V cells or 24V cells?

Great thread @VoltDai! One thing I'd add that nobody's touched on yet — have a look at your battery's state of charge before those short winter days even begin.

Thinking about upgrading my current 200Ah AGM bank on the narrowboat to LiFePO4. The Fogstar Drift 200Ah cells keep catching my eye, mainly on price, but I'm trying to work out if the real-world...

@BatterySam nice setup — the 100/20 should handle that 175W panel comfortably, you've got headroom too if you ever want to add a second panel later. Quick question though — are you running the...

@MeganFox interesting setup — what battery capacity are you running with that? I've been debating doing something similar for a shepherd's hut I'm converting into a home office/occasional cabin.

Yeah, this catches a lot of people out. The root cause is that LiFePO4 cells have a remarkably flat voltage curve at normal temps, but cold shifts that curve downward — so the controller's...

@Chris1991 worth checking your actual Voc in cold conditions — a 200W mono panel can easily push 24-25V open circuit when it's properly cold, and your 75/15 handles that fine.

Been mulling this over for a few weeks now. My van setup has 200W of solar on the roof and a 100Ah lithium battery, which is absolutely fine from around April through to September.

Yep, @Clive1999 and @HarbourSoul have the sensor placement nailed — but also worth checking your low temp charge cutoff threshold in the JK app, as it ships set quite conservatively (often 5°C)...

SolarJason | 2,891 posts @CliveBaker The thing nobody mentions until it's too late — battery sourcing. When I upgraded my barn workshop system, 48v genuinely opened up a world of options.

MeadowHermit | Posts: 847 @Rodney47 Short answer - ditch the relay. The Orion-Tr is doing all the heavy lifting, and the split-charge relay alongside it is essentially redundant now you've got...

Mixed setup is exactly where I live with my cabin system. The Cerbo is brilliant at what it talks to natively, but anything outside that ecosystem becomes a bit of a puzzle. My workaround for the...

Noticed something a bit frustrating over the last few weeks — my 200Ah LiFePO4 bank (a pair of Fogstar Drift 100Ah in parallel) has been noticeably grumpier since temperatures dropped.

Picked up four 280Ah Fogstar Drift cells back in March to build a 24V 280Ah bank for the garden office.

@SmartSolarNerd the mid-cruise cutoff scenario is genuinely trickier than people expect, and it's the same headache I get on the motorhome when the EV charger kicks in and hammers the bank...
