Really feel this one @ShaunDixon. My system on the narrowboat struggles badly once we get past mid-October — the angle's all wrong and I'm losing maybe 40% of what I'd expect from the same panels...

@FormerCop worth adding to what @RetiredEngineer86 is getting at about ambient temp — the other thing that catches people out is how full (or empty) the freezer is.

@HeatherChild I've got a small Outwell chest freezer running off a 100Ah Drift in my van, so your 200Ah should be absolutely fine in normal circumstances.

Picked up two 100W mono panels off eBay for about £38 each last spring — some no-name brand, can't even find the seller anymore.

Great write-up @VanSue, and welcome to the lighter side of life! 😄 One thing nobody's touched on yet — keep an eye on your mains hook-up charger if you're using one on site.
